i installed drupal not in my root directory, but in a subfolder like this www.maindomain.com/drupal. However, i want my main domain to point to drupal index so i made some changes in the .htaccess file and now if you enter maindomain.com it automatically redirects you to my drupal directory.
I've read the Drupal documentation and am pretty excited about this CMS. I just need a bit of assistance from seasoned Drupal pros to ensure I'm making a good fit for my client. He wants to setup a website offering hosting/websites to florists. Each florist would have their own site/cart (thinking about UberCart) and would be charted a monthly/annual hosting fee. Each site would have their choice of a few standard themes, or they can pay extra for a custom them.
I want to be able to make certain text elements on a website easily configurable by non-techy people. For example a phone number, email address or name which could show up on any pages as and where required.
It seems that "Tokens" might be the way to do this but can't think how I produce a single page for the non-techy user to set these up.
Are there any modules which already do this? Or maybe there's another way that doesn't use tokens. Any help or pointers appreciated.
I am using the current version of Drupal and casetracker and I am trying to configure it so the users can create a helpdesk ticket but hide the comments so that I can have a area for private comments.
If your interested in helping me with configuring it, then I can create a create for you on my site. Please send me a email to plt2007[at]gmx.com and I will send your the login information.
