Hello. I am trying to set up a gallery in Drupal 7. Before I dive into comparison and research of advantages and disadvantages of of multiple modules which offers gallery features, like Node Gallery, Fast Gallery, "Gallery 3 integration", I wish to address first I hope I can use a most canonical solution.
As I googled, most people discussing on the forum holds a feature-demanding power user approach, arguing which module provides most features and best performance and so like, while I set up a website looking for least trouble in maintenance. Many customized module causes trouble during upgrading (as happened in Drupal 6 and below) and lack of quantity standard, and often out of the pace of development of other related modules or Drupal core. Thus I usually turn to special solution only if the core product fails, and I am thus not usually attracted by fancy features, with the wish the time saved on getting fancy feature working could be used to improve website content myself.
In short, what is the way Drupal 7 core team want me to build a gallery with? I guess I might have least trouble if what I am doing is inline with Drupal 7 team hopes me to do.
