Drupal 7.x

I recently upgraded to Drupal 7. This morning I installed the OG and Views modules.

I had installed OG and Views in Drupal 6 but never used them, but apparently they left traces in the database because when I ran "update" and received the following error message:

The following updates returned messages
og module
Update #7000

I'm starting a new project, using Drupal 7, that seems to need the exact features of www.likealittle.com. My site isn't going to be anything like likealittle as far as content is concerned.

What I do need is this:

* Anonymous posting
* Location based URLs
* An option to create an account, yet still remain anonymous when you post.

My biggest question is how can I do the locations in drupal. I really don't want to strait up create a forum for each city/town in the world from the start, rather have them be generated as the first user decides to post something in their local town's forum. I'd like the forums to be of likealittle's style too. Similar to a facebook wall where one person posts a topic and everyone else comments on it.

What would you recommend I use as far as generating a forum and url when someone wishes to post in their town?

Example of use: User wants to post a local rumor she heard about a politician/person/business in her local town. She enters West Virginia for her state and Morgantown for her town. Since the board has never been used it is instantly created and she is directed to www.site.com/morgantown OR morgantown.site.com (craigslist style) where she finds an empty wall to create the first post.

Any advice on modules to use, ebooks or tutorials, or anything at all really, would be appreciated to an unfathomable degree!

Am currently using Drupal 6.20 core, and so far I've not been able to know exactly what has been added to Drupal 7, anyone can pls elaborate on the new features?

This keeps appearing especially when i click around 'my account' and user profile pages...

Hi, I tried upgrading my installation following the normal procedure but it didn't work (meaning the process would do nothing, not that it fired errors or something).

Now, I have the backup of my 6.18 database, is there a way to use that database on a brand new installation of drupal?

Or could I import the data from that DB in a new installation of drupal?
