Why do comments now have a unique url?

I was super pschyed getting ready to convert my SMF form to Drupal 6 even though I didn't care that comments were being used as replies to topics but what the hey, I love Drupal.

But in thinking well I will just got ahead with Drupal 7 and I see the comment structure is different now there is a full url to a per comment page and an anchor.

I do note there is a canonical url but I don't think that is the in the true spirit of them.

Canonical urls tend to be referenced to the page they reside on.

PDO not connecting to mysql db

Hi all,

drupal.org frontpage - activity map ?

(First of all, i did not figure out where to post such a question. All stickies seem to say "No, not here my friend..." ;-) :-( )

Hello from germany,
i noticed the activity map on the drupal.org frontpage. Really cool and eye-catching! The world becomes a village, right?!
Does anybody know how this map was realized? Or is there an on-going discussion about this topic?

Any clues and experiences are very much appreciated.
best regards,

Maik

Lost trying to get Styles into CKEditor

Hello -

I am simply trying to get my theme styles available in a drop-down menu within CKEditor. I have rummaged through discussions here, but the solutions seem to be way over my head - and a lot seem to be old and maybe don't apply to D7. Is there a simple option here? Am I missing something? I got TinyMCE to show the styles, but I need to be able to add tables and TinyMCE seems too tiny for that... Ideas?

I am new to Drupal, but this seems like it has to be a major necessity... right?

thanks for any help,
Don

Digital signatures on webforms

Is there anyway to add a digital signature to a webform? I have an 8 page pdf application form that I need users to be able to fill out and digitally sign without downloading. Does anybody have any solutions? I've tried using shadowbox and embedding the form on a webpage, but both still require Adobe Reader.

I hope that with all the government agencies using Drupal these days..someone out there will have some suggestions or ideas.
