Drupal 7.x

I'm new to Drupal and have read some books about it. I understand how to create custom content types in Drupal 7 as well as use CCK in Drupal 6. What I would like to do is create a view of nodes of a specific type and custom render each node for this particular view. I'm not quite sure what the strategy is for doing something like this. Do you need to create a custom layout and assign specific CCK fields to regions within the layout and then apply the layout to each node within a view?

The problem i have is i cant add an argument, like in direction 5c. I am sure i am missing something very simple. Any help is appreciated.

Hi all!

I've been reading through forums and internet searches trying to find a good way to host a podcast using Drupal 7.

One way was using FileField and FileField Podcast mods .. but they aren't supported by 7.

Another way used the Media mod, Entity API mod, Styles mod, and Wysiwyg .... I hit a dead end on that one as I can't get Wysiwyg to configure right.

Any help?

Should I set the podcast in a book? or a page? or a blog?

I'm going to build an ecommerce website with tons of products (will have data entry guy) and even more media. It should be fast and reliable. After examining 3 different platforms (Joomla, Wordpress and Drupal) I can see advantages of Drupal 7 + Ubercart 2 for project that will grow. Since I have a DBA background I can figure out how to speed up backend. So Drupal as CMS is a perfect out of the box solution.
At the same time I have dilemma. Since my project cannot wait I need to choose CMS now. And accordingly to what I see not every module/template is compatible Drupal 7.

I am looking to create a way for coaches of my site to be able to input highschool sports player stats. I was thinking i could create a new content type and just place the fields that they need for the different sports. this works but i would ideally like to have them input data say yards for each game of a player then have it auto place the total at the end. Ideas on the best way to accomplish this?

Hello everyone,

We run a podcast, and I would like to pull the file path of the MP3 file we upload into the content type to the page so that I can feed an HTML 5 audio player. I have attempted several variations of $node and $content prints to pull this information and I get walls of variable print outs, or errors saying I cannot pull from stdObject...

I have scoured the internet for days now attempting to find an answer to my problem. I am at a loss if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated.
