Changing theme_links function for a single menu?

Hello:)
Its my first time working with drupal, so ... ;-)

I wanted to change the html-output of the main-menu in an own template (Drupal 7.2). That worked well by overwriting the theme_links function in incude/theme.inc. Therefore I copied the function into template.php and changed some lines.

That worked as it should work, but unfortunately it did also something else I didnt expect: The menu in the toolbar at the top is also affected.

Is there a possibility to change the html-output of just one of these menus without "touching" the other one?

drupal 6 vs drupal 7

Hi

I want to build an e-commerce website using drupal.
I would like to know whether I should build it using drupal 6 since it is more stable and has more extensions and modules to add.
Or can I start using drupal 7 directly since most of the extensions and modules are also applicable to this version.

In other words, I am trying to avoid a situation where I have to rollback to version 6 because of a specific module/development that is only available on version 6.

User Field with Restricted Editing Permissions?

I've added a new field to users, which references a node.
Currently, anybody logged in can edit that field through My Account > Edit.
I want to allow only administrators to edit that field.
Ideas on the best solution?

EDIT: If you have a solution that involves storing the NID in a way other than adding it as a new field to user account settings, I'm all ears.

MYSQL comparison

Hope this is the right thread..
It's just something I wonder anyway
Ive used 6.22 and 7.4
When I compare the SQl database Ive noticed 6.22 has a way smaller cache_menu value
I think it's less than a MB.. where as 7.4 goes over 1 MB
What impact or differences does this create?

D7 CSS HELP PLZ: WYSIWYG (TinyMCE) Body Background Issue

For some reason, my WYSIWYG editor is showing my body background of my main page. I believe it is from the WYSIWYG's iframe which has the following code:

<body id="tinymce" class="mceContentBody "></body>

However, I cannot seem to style it out using CSS. Assigning CSS to #tinymce &/or .mceContentBody does nothing, and I even mean display:none; isn't working.

How do I get the WYSIWYG editor to not show my background!

Godaddy using redirecting pages to weird folders

Hi

I have recently noticed a drop in my websites traffic and have discovered that my web host (godaddy) has been 302 my pages. For example http://mydomain.com/Economics/InflationAndTheInterestRate has been being redirected to http://mydomain.com/Economics/InflationAndTheInterestRate?30d34a08.

I believe this is damaging my visitor numbers and my place in google. So my question is:
