I want to add user pictures above user names in who's online block.Can I do this with template files?

Well, I'm not familiar with the drupal lingo so bare with me.

How do I create a news feed on my site? A really simple one that I want only on my homepage. I want it to show the past 10 articles that I created in a 2 column/10 row table, with the first column being the article name and the second being the date it was written.

Okay, if that was too much too ask, could someone lead me to the right direction to making something like that? I've searched for hours and I really don't feel like wasting more time doing that. Thanks!

- Current path is node/8
- Create a view's block that lists all nodes created after post date of the current node (node 8).

Recently installed drupal 7 and am having an odd problem. whatever page you happen to land on is the page name that stays in the browsers address bar. In other words, if you start out at http://mysite.com/?q=term/1 then go to another page, the browsers address bar still shows http://mysite.com/?q=term/1 even though you were looking at term/2 for example.

This may be super simple, but I haven't figured it out. Which CSS file in Bartik do I have to modify to change fonts for tabs, headers and body text. Do I need to create a sub theme for this or is it a simple enough change that I can alter it if I have to update the theme.
