Deprecated - Drupal.org infrastructure

Over the past week, I've been having login problems on the drupal.org site. The first login doesn't take. I have to login again for it to be accepted. I also had this problem when logging into a drupal site that used the @drupal.org style of authentication. Anybody else seeing this or do I need to clean out my cookies or something? Nothing changed on my side. Using Firefox 1.5.0.4.

it would be great to be able to click an "i found this helpful" link on every drupal.org node that would then influence site search rankings. i often find diamonds in the rough that i want to help others to find, but posting a comment is time consuming and doesn't help them find it in the first place.

The link color (and I think font) just changed when viewing the page under firefox. The new color is pale and low contrast making it hard to read. Is this something on purpose?

Hey, guys, I'm developing my website using the 'Marvin' theme (for now) ... Please read these questions individually and if you find a succinct, easy-to-understand way to answer them, PLEASE do, as I am in between a pre-school and kindergarten student to Drupal, and will learn more that way, rather than in one 'whooosh' of technical stuff all at once ; :

1. SIMPLEST QUESTION FIRST: When administering my site, I went to 'Blocks' to configure my 'Links' area to include banners (this area is used for the nav links as well, in case I'm not being clear.) I accidentally erased the php code in this section! Can someone please post what it is again, so I can paste it back in?

2. Speaking of which, I'm trying to keep these banners separate from the same section that the navigation links are in (i.e. the nav links in this same 'Links' under the Header section.) While I still would like (for the moment) to keep the banners at the top of the site, I want the nav links section to be there too, only separately. How do I do this? Or, a better question would be: where would I put banner links from the very beginning to have them neatly displayed at the top, with a neatly displayed nav links area?

3. How do I upload an image to the Header area, so that it goes behind my logo? (Having real problems with this, for some reason.)

4. When members join my site, and upload their pictures, what is/are the best module(s) you can think of to display a random few on the flash/intro page, and use to creatively control pictures in the site once the user enters?
