I followed all of the steps to run the Drupal Upgrade, from 6 to 8. It has been stuck for 53% for a few hours now and I am not sure what to do. If I close out, will I mess up anything? And does anyone know how I can fix this and successfully update Drupal? Thanks.
Here is what it currently is displaying above the 53% loading bar.
My question is not really specific but i need opinions from the mosts experienced :) (again)
I start enjoing drupal there is one or two years now and i join a big drupal 6 project there is some few month.
There are thinking of upgrading it now, but it's a hudge beast, it will take a loooooong time, so we have to continue to maintain this one until the new fork is ready.
The best reason for upgrade, more than security, is because it's heavy. VERY heavy: 5 or 8s load pages on the production optimized server, up to 24s on my developpement local machin !
Hey all,
I just received a drupal 6.2 site.
The customer want me to create a list of all lecturers by the first letter of their last name.
I have created a content type called 'Faculty profile' there i created the next fields:
* title
*last name
*department
what I want to do is create an exposed filter that will show all the first letters of the lecturres last name.
on clicking one of the letters I will receive a list with all the lecturrers that their last name start with the selected letter.
I currently have a Drupal 6.38 website. I am building a new website in Drupal 8 and was wondering what the best option would be as far as preserving the data. Should I upgrade the Drupal 6.3 to Drupal 8 and build off that? Or can I export the data off the Drupal 6 site then import into Drupal 8? I'm a noob at this so break it down into laymans terms please.
Hi, I'm a bit of a noobie and I can't find any guides that have been able to successfully migrate my Drupal 6 website to Drupal 8. Are there no step-by-step tutorials or even videos that walk you through this? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
