timestamp error after upgrade to 6.0.3

I am very new to Drupal. I got a working 5.3 site, then upgraded to 6.0. I have searched and read the support documentation but cannot find where to correct the following error that is reported in the status report after running cron:

user warning: Unknown column 'status' in 'where clause' query: SELECT * FROM files WHERE status = 0 and timestamp < 1195997216 in /Users/sitename/Sites/drupal-5.3/modules/system/system.module on line 1104.

Can anyone please help?

Multilanguage - path prefix - displaying content for both languages

Hello,

I'm trying to use Drupal 6 (Beta3) with path prefix (+language fall-back) to create multilingual site. When I create a node-story in default language (English), it gets name like node1. Then, if I hit translate button and translate the node to let's say Czech, the translation gets name node2 and is displayed alongside with original text.

admin/content/comment/settings

It's impossible to access at this page in Drupal 6 Beta 3.
This behaviour is intended or is it a mistake?
How I can modify the comment settings in Drupal 6?
Thank you for your work.

Form a grouping on developing twitter type of website over Drupal

I am very interested in doing so and I would like to collaborate with folks worldwide on this issue. If you like this idea, you can reply my message here or PM me. Moreover, if you like that, I have also setup a forum in my own website to address this issue.
it is http://www.jkwuliu.com/search. It takes a few minutes to register and you can post related topic under "Twitter" section and I would try my best to answer that.

Thanks a lot!

Drupal 6 (beta three) will not create user 1, can't login

I went to set up a local Drupal 6, and it went smoothly until the step of creating the main admin user 1. After I entered the info, it went to a blank page. When I retyped in the base address, it went to the page to login and begin setting up the site. But, when I went to login, it told me that I was not an authorized user (with the username and password I just created). Nor would it recognize either a username or email address to email me a password. I checked in the database, and there were still placeholders for User 1.
