Drupal 6.x

Hello!

I want to make Drupal send out a reminder mail whenever there is a certain number of days left for an event (event.module) to happen! Are there modules already out there to do this? Maybe using triggers?

Please correct me if I am wrong anywhere.
Drupal is a production content management system, i.e. it is the live system, the url the client hits on the browser comes to drupal, in the sense, one using Drupal I wont be deploying the website to another application server or web server.
Hence if I wanted to deploy content to an application server which would pick and choose content to display I woudnt use Drupal.

Currently, I am trying to create a browsing system that will optimize SEO for Drupal 6. So, I want my browsing menu system like this:

$items['browse/%/%/default']
$items['browse/%/%/non_default']

The % are names that will be content driven. My problem I am having is:

I have a home page HTML ready of a website. Needs the website to be Dyanmic using Drupal.

Dynamic module would be events, subscription for newsletter, news etc.

I want to convert from Blogger to Drupal, and in order to do this (and to get some experience with Drupal) I've decided to do it myself. I also decided to import the content from Blogger to Drupal, but via the Drupal API rather than ramming the data directly into the database.

I looked in the API docs and found the drupal_execute method for effectively programatically posting a form in drupal. This would do the trick nicely for what I want. The problem I have though is the example (as found on http://api.drupal.org/api/function/drupal_execute/6) works for creating a user, but when it tries to post the story, nothing turns up in the database.

I am attempting to do this from a standalone PHP script, here's what I have so far:

This is my first post here, so I'm hoping that I've posted to the right place. I've spent quite some time searching, and can find similar posts but no specific answers to the question i've got buzzing around my head!

Before I go down the route of installing and learning how to use Drupal, which I'm really quite happy to do (and looking forward to!) could anyone just answer the following . . .

I have a site on one domain name ie. www.domain1.co.uk

I also have a similar site, but with different content, contact details etc etc, and I have this on www.domain2.co.uk, a totally seperate domain

I also have www.domain3.co.uk, www.domain4.co.uk, www.domain.co.uk, www.domain5.co.uk etc etc

ALL domains are on the same hosting package, just in seperate folders on the server

Is it possible to create ONE Drupal installation, with ONE Mysql database that can serve all of the domains? Even if the sites look the same, with the same theme etc, that's not a problem (although different themes would be nice)

Also, would the individual person who's details and content is on each seperate domain be able to log into their area, and no other area, to make changes to site content?
