I'm pretty new to drupal and am trying to put together my first site with it.
I've set up a store, using ubercart, which is working great, but I would love to be able to add an mp3 store to sell individual songs.
Firstly, is it possible and secondly has anyone here done it before that could walk me through what modules I need to install and the best way of doing it?
I have installed Drupal 6.0 RC2 in a virtual machine if you would like to try it out without having to install it on your web host. It requires a vmware player (free). It is a default install on a virtualappliances.net lamp appliance, with only a few changes (php5-gd and console screen size). The download is 117MB and expands to a few gigs. Send me a message if you would like the download link.
Hi everyone,
This is the first post I've made on these forums. After much reading, tinkering, and unsuccessful attempts, we have been unable to accomplish our site's goals with Drupal. So, here is what we're trying to do, in a more broad sense:
Create a site for a high school that allows teachers to log in and have their own basic pages and other tools such as blogs, calendars, etc. that people, such as students, may subscribe to.
I have been working on a Drupal 6 site for some time now and I am trying to separate the admin from the site as much as possible because the design does not lend itself well to the administrators functionality. Does anyone know how to force the block module to utilize the admin theme if set?
Would this work better if I created a multi site install and use one for administration only?
Is there a way to disable the Admin for the Live site all together without using ugly IP address hacks?
I have two sites that I need to setup and want to install Drupal as the CMS. I have been waiting though for the Drupal 6 because I don't want to install Drupal 5 and then they release Drupal 6 next week. Now that it is in RC2 (and has been for 20 days now), when (best estimate) can we see Drupal 6 being released?
