Drupal 6.x

I have a site (let's say www.mysite.com) with content, but want to use Drupal as a CMS to create articles (using story nodes) under www.mysite.com/articles/. I also want to create a blog (using blog nodes) at blog.mysite.com. I was originally planning to create as two different sites, with different sets of DB tables, etc. But I'd rather only have to maintain one set of users, so a single install would be preferable.

I am setting up several new Drupal sites using Drupal 6. I need to share the users across all installations, but I am not sure which tables I need to prefix in order to do this correctly, respecting all of the dependencies. I do not wish to share any of the content or anything else across the sites.

This site wraps each CODE tag snippet in a DIV with a special class.
How can I get my Drupal 6.0 site to do the same? Apparently, I can't add top/bottom margins to plain CODE elements using CSS :-(

How can I remove .../drupal-6.0 from my URL, so can enter my website on www.mysite.com instead of www.mysite.com/drupal-6.0.
Do I have to move everything from the drupal directory to 'mysite' directory and which files do I need to change?

I'm trying to put some spacing and border around my CODE and CITE tags by editing the CSS. I'm using Drupal 6.0, and the Chameleon theme.
