Multi-sites with different database

Please pardon my ignorance.. I'm new to Drupal :p

I would like to set up multi sites using same code base but different database.

How do I link to a specific content type?

I created a new content type, for Articles. I also went through and added a bunch of categories for different kinds of articles. Now, I would like to put a menu item in my primary links, that you can click, which will take you to a page with a list of all the categories, etc. or you also get a dropdown with all the categories, so you can select either/or. I can't figure out how to do this. Even the first option would be a great step.

Menu block title

Hello, i have created a new menu with my private menu items, and when i was creating it, there was a necessary field, something like "menu title" as i remember. So i named my menu. but i don't want the menu title to appear on my homepage, i need only menu items to be seen. So can i hide the title somehow?

Thank you.

Cherokee Web Server

Hi all,
to not reinvent the wheel, if it's possible, I'm looking for a Cherokee configuration able to serve a Drupal installation for the 5.x and 6.x version.

Thanks in advance,
Giorgio

A (not so) simple site for a research group

Hello.

This is my first post. First of all, sorry for my English mistakes.

I am new to Drupal. I've been using Joomla! in the past, and am still trying to learn and use MODxCMS. But also, I was thinking about giving Drupal a try. Then, I saw that the new version of Drupal has been recently released, and it looked quite promising to me.

I would like to tell you about the site I am planning to build, so that you can tell me if it is possible to have it done with a standard Drupal 6 installation.

It is the web site for the research group I belong to. The structure is quite simple, but there are some issues I want to check with you.

The structure of the site is as follows:

  • Main: Home page.
  • Members: A web page where you can find a link to each researcher's info page.
    • Researcher1's page: Basic info about Researcher1.
    • Researcher2's page: Basic info about Researcher2.
    • ...
  • Research: Research stuff related to the group. It is divided into two big areas.
    • Lines: A description of each of our research areas.
