Drupal 6.x

I'm new to Drupal. I installed Drupal 6.0 to start my new website and have gotten pretty far with it (www.ukpointssystem.com). The site is live and I'm beginning to get the hang of things. My question is can I downgrade my site to Drupal 5.7 easily? I need a lot of modules that are not available for 6.0 yet. Should I just sit tight and wait for more modules to be available? Thanks! Ok, so I am working on my custom template and I see that in the node.tpl.php that is supports pictures print $picture . So what I am wanting to know is... how do I have pictures with the Story Post?

i installed drupal 6, and now i want to use some themes/modules that was made for previous version of drupal.

but its not allowing me, showing me a message:

"This version is incompatible with the 6.0 version of Drupal core."

...any workaround, since not most of the modules/themes are made for 6 yet...

I want to upload images and get automatically generated thumbnails. Is there a module that can do this? I tried the image module, but I'm getting the error:
