Drupal 6.x

First of all let me say that I am new to Drupal. With that, I apologize for asking such a broad general question. I hope that someone in this forum can point me in the right direction.

I would like to build a site where I can do the following:

Here's the thing I understand html & css, I guess my main problem is understanding all the variables Drupal uses. I code my html and css like normal and then I have to just fix it so it has <? print attributes> where can I learn more about these and really grasp the concept of how the whole drupal core works.

Also if I pick apart a theme to understand it, what should I look for?

Dear Forum,

I am entirely new to Drupal. I am wondering if someone can tell me if it has web 2 capabilities, if it could for example create a myspace or facebook like community, or is it all just a cms?

I have just installed v6 of drupal and for some reason I can't change the weight of the blocks?

When I load the block page in the admin section the drop down boxes appear for a second and then disappear once the page has finished loading.

Any one know what is causing this?

Does anyone know when an Inline module, or anything else supporting the display of images in articles or blog posts, will be available for version 6?

I have a how-to question. We are wanting to put a side block on or site, or a column, which will contain a calendar/list of events. This would be updated regularly, and have preset events show up as they come around. Can we do this? If so, what is the best way to do it?
