Installing Drupal

When i upload the drupal setup files file.inc get removed from the include server.

Anyone know why this is occuring

No other files are being removed...

I have create a copy of our live site for development on a different server, the home page loads ok but when you try to log in or click on any of the links the page goes to a blank screen. I have the following error in the apache log:

[Tue Oct 05 12:49:16 2010] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not exist: C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/htdocs/front_page, referer: http://localhost/

I'm currently having issues with one of my drupal instlallation hosted on a dedicated server from theplanet. Everything is working correctly for a clean install as well as a migration from a localhost that was until i tried changing the configuration of my themes. When i go to admin/build/themes/settings/garland and when i click save configuration. The settings will be saved but the redirection will fail and after a minute or so the page will return a 400 bad request.

i have to deploy drupal on HP-UX OS
which server can i use (XAMP / WAMP...)
i m not able to find XAMP Server for HP-UX platform (presently XAMP is available only for Linux and not for UNIX)
kindly suggest me a server of some some other alternative to solve my problem

Have succesfully installed Drupal 7 at work on Ubuntu Linux 10.04. Now trying at home on Windows Vista.

After entering the MySQL database details I get a blank page (http://xxx.xxx.xxx/install.php?profile=standard&locale=en).

No errors are given. My MySQL version is 5.1.51.

Not sure how to continue, but would like to as I'm loving what I see at work.

i am about to build a fairly simple site for a friend and from what i reckon i have 2 options:

1. Build everything locally and then move it to the live server with any good host
2. Use one of the hosting companies that offer "install with one click Drupal" - and from there i can add modules/themes/ make changes in files etc.
