Installing Drupal

Hello everyone,

I installed Drupal on a few servers without problems already, but the one I'm doing now gives me some problems... When I copied the files to the server as it should be done, when going to the drupal index.php, I got a 500 Server Error. I looked up some possible causes, and after a while I found out that commenting out following lines did the job:

I'm doing this install on Dreamhost.

I get to the final step where I configure the site ... creating an admin user etc. But, after I enter the Configure site info, the Configure site page is redisplayed and it does not create the user. I have tried reinstalling but it does not help.

When I looked at the users table it shows a placeholder user and the user I attempted to create is not listed.

I've installed a number of drupal installations although this is the first installation of Drupal 6.19 I have done. It is also the first installation on Dreamhost.

Iam a beginner user in drupal and the version that i've use is 6.19 when my set up was done in my server and totally running fine, i've install the drupal and then i've incounter this 2 kind of eror message.

1. "Copy the ./sites/default/default.settings.php file to ./sites/default/settings.php." i locate this file and dissent work!

After I input my database details (database name, username, password) and click on "Save and continue" it just loads for a long time then shows me a blank page. The url I end up with is http://localhost/Airgineering/install.php?profile=default&locale=en

If I go back to the index of my website, it starts up install.php again.

I checked my database and no tables were created.

I'm using Windows 7, Apache 2.2.15, PHP 5.3.3, and MySQL 5.1.47
