Having problems installing Drupal? See the Installation Guide for more information.

Is PHP 5.3.x well supported by Drupal 6(latest) modules? I had to revert back to PHP 5.2.9 last time I tried.

Last time I tried to use PHP 5.3.x I had several problems with various Drupal modules, but this was several months ago.
Is anybody running the following modules under PHP 5.3.x without having problems?
Perhaps a list of modules that are known to work with PHP 5.3.x is needed.

Drupal + MAMP (Mac) + MySQLi gives error

I tried to install Drupal 6.19 locally using the latest Mamp (1.9.1) on a mac intel (10.6).

I tried to connect to an existing DB (created through the local PHPMyAdmin). I did not get an error (e.g. 'Could not connect to...), I just did not get past 'Set Up Database'. I don't get an error whatsoever, I just land on the 'Set up Database' page again.
Tried to connect to mysql db instead of mysqli (which is installed btw), did not do anything.

?q=user login does not work

First Drupal site. I have got to the stage of having installed Drupal and getting it to see a database. It ran through the update procedure asking me to put the site off line, which I did. Now I cannot get back online. If I use ?q=user I get a page that asks for my username and password, which I put in, but then it says broken link and goes no further. The username and password and the ones used to set up the site in the first place and are correct. I tried going in via another PC and got the same problem. Help please.

Paid help needed setting up site on Fasthosts

I am looking for some paid telephone support. I have created a Drupal site and got it running fine on my Local Machine. I have uploaded Drupal to my site www.runtest.co.uk which is a Linux site on a Fasthost Server. I set up a database with Fasthost and pointed the settings.php file to that database with the line $db_url = 'mysql://username:password@ip number'; ( with username and password and IP number inserted). When I try www.runtest.co.uk/install.php I get the following message.

Failed to create a test table on your MySQL database server with the command CREATE TABLE drupal_install_test (id int NULL). MySQL reports the following message: No database selected.

* Are you sure the configured username has the necessary MySQL permissions to create tables in the database?

For more help, see the Installation and upgrading handbook. If you are unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your hosting provider.

Multisites with same DB, table, cck etc. but different themes and blocks

Hi

I want to install some sites:
- sub1.domain1.com (db prefix: sub1_)
- sub2.domain1.com (db prefix: sub2_)
- sub3.domain1.com (db prefix: sub3_)
- www.domain2.com (db prefix: dom2_)
- www.domain3.com (db prefix: dom3_)

All these sites should use the same db and the same db prefix, cck, views, ubercart etc. but different themes and blocks.

I am new to drupal.

During installation I'm having 3 error massages.
I dont know how to handle these:

user warning: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND token = '9732afe8174da94715b991e4012a5acc'' at line 1 query: SELECT batch FROM drpl_batch WHERE bid = AND token = '9732afe8174da94715b991e4012a5acc' in /www/0009.ws/p/k/n/pknharkstede/htdocs/includes/batch.inc on line 15.
