Hi,
I have running Drupal locally on my computer but connecting to a remote MySQL DB. I am able to connect fine when I add my actual IP address to the allowed connection IP's, however, because I work at a number of different locations I figured I could set up a no-ip.org address to automatically redirect to my IP address wherever I am and add that to my allowed connections list (EG, brian.no-ip.org) . This does not work. Does anyone know if this is possible? is there an extra work port I am missing? work around? Better way of doing this?
Hi everyone/anyone. Newbie here. Thanks ahead of time for any help.
So Step 3 (here) of the Installation guide says I need to change write access to the settings.php file, but the installation (on a mac local host) seemed to work without me even needing to do this step.
Just 2 Qs here:
Is this going to be a problem? Will it be a problem when I move it to a live server?
I'm kind of hoping for a 'no' answer, but lay it on me as it is. Thanks very kindly =).
Hi, i'm just with drupal and allready have a problem wich i cant solve.
My front page still contains the standard "Welcom to your new Drupal-website"-page.
I tried several things, but what i want is a standard page wich doesnt link to a menu or other page.
I tried to make a simple blok with text wich i only made visable on the front page, but the standard welcom "Welcom to your new Drupal-website", is still there. Can anyone help me to solve this?
This is the first time I am using drupal. When I tried to enter the directory where I installed drupal, it is not showing anything. I have uploaded it using Filezilla. Can anyone visit funhousehome.co.cc/site/drupal and see what's the problem and how can I fix it?
