Installing Drupal

Hello,

I have downloaded Drupal from the website http://drupal.org/start.

Can anyone advise me the installation process and requirments. I have a Windows 7 Prof OS.

Issues after uploading you backups from drupal, or changing servers

Hi Guys,

Really appreciate help with this- have a problem for months and its driving me crazy !!
I can load images to the image gallery, but then i get an error which says there are no images??
I ran cron, and have disabled views. The file 'images' in in default/files. I can see images there. Here is what the status report says:

Had a hugely frustrating hour searching for this file. Been attcked by trojans and sent on blind missions through pages of dubious sites. It's needed to run Drupal on Apache. It's clearly mentioned in the install guide but it's left up to the user to find it, if it's not installed in your PHP extensions directory.

Can anyone post a link to pdo.dll and whatever else I need to run Drupal? Cheers!

Maybe add it to the Drupal download. Just a thought.

Please help and advise me how i can disable these messages ?

Worked through your install instructions, which by the way, did not tell me to add a pdo extension statement to php.ini. I now have the radio button for MS SQL Server in the database install but still getting connection errors.

Failed to connect to your database server. The server reports the following message: SQLSTATE[08001]: [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0]TCP Provider: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. .
