Installing Drupal

After reinstalling wamp server 2.1 + Drupal 7, admin pages are void

Hi,
when installing drupal 7.2 I extracted drupal-7.2.tar.gz to my working directory on a webserver.
Invoking the install script resulted in
parse error: syntx error, unexpected { in ../includes/bootstrap.inc line 676.

the same script worked fine on a local installation on my linux notebook.

Are there any hints?

I need your help.

I guess that maybe it is a problem on my server but could not find what it is or where it is the error.

I installed a newr site, just a fresh install using CPanel n a VPS server.

Immediately after installation I entered and tried to install a new theme.... an received the following error:

ANy idea of what could wrong?
ALL works perfectly, can create articles, change, delete them, change parameteres of the themes, or the configuration ones... BUT you can not install new themes or new modeules.

I guess the error could be on the server, but I am not sure... maybe in each virtual configuration of each domain.... any clue what in "temporary://update-cache/danland-7.x-1.0.tar.gz." temporary means?

Hi there I am a drupal noob and I've installed drupal many times before.

I am trying to install again but this time I'm running into errors that don't make sense. The errors I am getting are complaining that tables don't exist but of COURSE they don't... I should note it's a MULTI SITE installation:

I have a colleague asking me to provide a single tarball containing an entire Drupal site, which they can drop on their server with no configuration beyond connecting the database.

To my knowledge this is not possible.

I have manually installed apache, php and mysql on my windows 7 computer.

I want to intall drupal to for learning purposes so that i can host websites locally.

I want to install drupal 7, please let me know how to proceed without Xammp or Wamp
