Installing Drupal

I had drupal installed with a previous web hosting company. Now I switched companies and have no clue how to direct all my files to a new database. Can someone please help me??

I installed the lamp package on Ubuntu 10.0.4. LTS, then installed Drupal 7 using drush. When I try to view Drupal in my Firefox browser, I get a dialog that I am opening an *.phtml file, with options to save or find a program to open it with. It looks like Apache is configigured right:

I have a problem with my view,I use filter exposed in ajax (content:activities) the adress is : http://mywebsite/myview and i use too arguments , the adress : http://mywebsite/myview/my_arguments.
when i am in this adress :http://mywebsite/myview/my_arguments, It's ok, i see the filter exposed and th view is filtered but when i check one or many activities the filter don't work.

About to start looking at panels module, and so downloaded latest D7 recommended releases of it and of CTools.

Unable to enable CTools modules because of missing 'required' modules as follows:
CTools Plug-in Example module needs Advanced-help module.

'Views Content Panes' module reports needing Views, which is surely Core in D7?

I managed to install Drupal 7.10 in Ubuntu and installed several modules and all works fine. Now I need to host in the same Drupal installation more than one site (I follow one of the several tuturials available in the web).

In the sites folder I renamed the default to mySite and then copy it to have mysite1, mysite2, and so one...

The problem is as soon as I rename the sites/default folder I cannot access the drupal site any more.
