Installing Drupal

I've created an account at Hostgator to learn Drupal. I've installed it and the main site is working.

I want to install a subdomain, and am following the directions at http://drupal.org/documentation/install/multi-site. But my url sub.main.com is going to my main site and sub.main.com/install.php says Drupal is already installed.

I have been trying to re-install one of my websites which is running off one copy of the Drupal core code. I get the above error, which does not state which table is causing the error.

I then click the re-load button and then I get "Table variable already exists." When I look at the database it shows that only 26 tables have been created.

I thought the problem might have been because I had created a subdomain under the main domain. I deleted that and still get the error.

It all started when I tried to install the UBERCART module.

I'm testing out Drupal 7.12 on Windows 7, with MySql 5.0.51a, Apache 2.2.8, and PHP 5.2.5. Everything's been installed (supposedly) according to the default paths and nothing gives any error messages. However, localhost still defaults to index.htm in the htdocs folder, and the only way to see the Drupal installation is to go to localhost/index.php. Any PHP/Drupal-generated page, such as http://localhost/?q=admin, also display index.htm.

ohk i am facing this very weird problem .

i have a cloud server hosted with rackspace and have installed ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx LTS in it. i have installed apache 2 , php and mysql server in it along with phpmyadmin. when i download and extract drupal 7 default or any custom profiles i face this problem. When i extract it using tar -xzvf it extracts by default into /var/www/drupal-7.12/ and then i set permissions to 777 using chmod

Its almost three days , i started googling for how to set up gd in php, which i got as an error in drupal installation.Moreover , i m using Linux system. Help me out.

I migrate drupal from linux to windows server. (and excuse me for my english i speak french).

After migration, i have this error when i go online:
