Installing Drupal

Can I host drupal site in windows hosting ?

Hello, please forgive this post if it has been answered but I have spent 3 days looking for an answer and have found nothing that has worked. I have installed wysiwyg in drupal 7 in the stes module folders and I have also installed tinymce and ckeditor in the libraries folder. However I can't get the buttons to appear on the create content "article page". All my folders are owned and have the group of www-data with access under the "other" permissions area. I am tearing out my hair!!! (if I had some).

I have a problem with installing drupal. It works great on my localhost, but on the webserver I constantly get this message: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2).

Anyone know how to solve this?

My login credentials are correct. I can login with phpmyadmin using the same credentials.

Hi,

I'm trying to install Drupal on my computer but when going through the database configuration I keep getting table variable already exists after clicking save and continue on the Set up database section and can never get on the Install profile section.

I do also have Joomla installed, would that be the cause? Have used Joomla without any problems.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Can't for the life of me find the requirements for the hardware (ram, cpu, etc). Anyone have the specs or a link?
