I'm trying to upgrade my druapl site with version 4.1.0 and everything seems to fine however all my writings were in the "story" table of mysql before and I notice this has changed over "node" I backed up the story table but how do I put the writing into the node table ... please help I have ALOT of information that needs to be transferred.
Could not believe, that a System like Drupal in a 4.1 version does not support table prefxing.
have a view questions about that...
If I install Drupal like it is, and let the tables insert like they are, which means I will never find the tables again in the databes which belong to drupal.
Will there be a Installer in the future, that renames this tables and prefixes them ?
To some extent, this seems to be a browser issue, not a Drupal issue, but I'd like to find a way to solve it.
I'm considering Drupal for use as a discussion forum for Japanese/English translators. Messages will contain both languages. So far I have not been able to figure out a way for Japanese text to be preserved properly.
I tried creating Japanese forum messages in two browsers with a vanilla install of Drupal: MSIE 5.2 and Chimera. Japanese text entered into a form in MSIE is encoded as Shift-JIS. With Chimera, text wound up encoded as escaped Unicode entities.
