Yakforms provides a fully working form service. It is aimed to work along with the Yakforms distribution for Drupal 7.

Yakforms defines the following items for the website :

  • A new node type : « form » or form1 (machine-name) nodes are publicly-accessible nodes that any authenticated user can create and configure. A webform is attached to each of node.
  • Blocks and menu links for user navigation.
  • Default pages.
  • Cron tasks for limited-lifetime nodes : to avoid piling up useless data forever, forms expire after a few months by default. (This feature can be deactivated by the admin if necessary).
  • A central administration menu to manage most of the website's parameters.

Installation

To install a fully-working Yakforms site, you'll need more than just this module : there is also an installation profile to go along with it. Detailed information here.

If you are migrating from a Framaforms website, you'll find instructions on how to move to enable Yakforms the clean way over here.

Requirements

  • Webform
  • Form builder
  • Pathauto
  • Views

Other useful modules

These are not required per say - Yakforms will function without them - but they come in handy when managing a heavily-used site or when additional features are needed :

Drupal 8/9 info

We need help porting this module to Drupal 8/9 to make it available to everyone on the long run. Get in touch by opening an issue if you want to get involved !

Credits

Yakforms makes heavy use of Webform and Form builder, which are at the core of its features.

Yakforms was originally developped by French non-profit Framasoft as part of the De-google-ify Internet campaign.
