The core version was missed in the core compatibility update, which lets you install on a D9 site, but it fails the dependency checks when downloading the module via composer.

I believe the 2.0.0 branch was started from the wrong place. That should be fixed now, but not in time to fix the upstream for this issue's fork. I'm going to close this issue and create a new one.
