Varbase AI Readable Base

Makes a site easier for AI tools to read. It serves /llms.txt, built from the site name, slogan, main menu and footer menu, and a Markdown version of every content item and taxonomy term, at the page path plus .md or for a request sent with Accept: text/markdown. The HTML pages do not change.

The recipe installs llms.txt and Markdownify, both stable. Markdown answers are marked noindex for search engines, and SEO Admin and Site Admin can edit the llms.txt content. Drupal Canvas pages and Views have no Markdown version yet; they are listed in /llms.txt as links.

It needs no AI provider or key. On a site with Fast 404, which Varbase ships, /llms.txt needs one line in settings.php to let it through. This recipe is an alpha release, not covered by the Drupal security advisory policy. Try it on a development site first.

Best used with Varbase Starter site template.

Can be installed with any Drupal CMS ~2.0 or Drupal Core ~11 site. Even if installed with the Minimal or Standard profile.

However, using it with Varbase gives you way much more cool stuff!
