Hello,
I have a problem with latest Drupal 8.0.6 (def lang Greek, with English) web site. The same problem exists also in 8.0.5 version

I have made the translation of a greek article in Eng.
I can see the translation and the original content in the web site home page but when I go to the Eng version (http://itgaia.net/en/node/1 - user, 12345!) of the article I always get the greek version of the article, the original (source) one.
This happens only if log-in! If log-out the pages (eng - gr) display correctly!

PS: I would like to be assigned this issue, but I am relative new to Drupal and I need some guidance for this one...

The problem is related to "Use the administration pages and help" permission. If the logged-in user has this permission checked then can see only the admin lang version of the page!

Temp workaround: uncheck the "Use the administration pages and help" permission.

Version: 8.0.6 » 8.0.x-dev

Core issues are now filed against the dev versions where changes will be made. Document the specific release you are using in your issue comment. More information about choosing a version.

Version: 8.0.x-dev » 8.9.x-dev

Drupal 8.8.7 was released on June 3, 2020 and is the final full bugfix release for the Drupal 8.8.x series. Branches prior to 8.8.x are not supported, and Drupal 8.8.x will not receive any further development aside from security fixes. Sites should prepare to update to Drupal 8.9.0 or Drupal 9.0.0 for ongoing support.

Bug reports should be targeted against the 8.9.x-dev branch from now on, and new development or disruptive changes should be targeted against the 9.1.x-dev branch. For more information see the Drupal 8 and 9 minor version schedule and the Allowed changes during the Drupal 8 and 9 release cycles.

Thanks for reporting this issue. We rely on issue reports like this one to resolve bugs and improve Drupal core.

As part of the Bug Smash Initiative, we are triaging Drupal core issues with the priority 'Major'.

After a review of both issues it appears that, as @swentel suggested, this is a duplicate #2189267: When content language detection is different from interface language detection, the detected language is not applied to the rendered content, so I'm marking it "Closed (duplicate)". If anyone can provide information on why this issue is different, please add complete steps to reproduce the issue (starting from "Install Drupal core"), document those steps in the issue summary and set the issue status back to "Active".

Thanks!
