The main bootstrap template and the subtheme does not show the progress bar, I have run several tests and the progress bar does not appear, when changing the template the progress bar works correctly.

1. Install the module https://www.drupal.org/project/examples
2. Enable the AJAX module example
3. In the navigation menu enter the link Progress Bar example
4. Run the Progress bar example with the bootstrap template
It can be seen that the progress bar is not displayed.

Majdi CreditAttribution: Majdi as a volunteer commentedThe problem there is no closest .file-widget or .form-item, I created a patch to check the closest, if there is no closest it will add the bar before the element itself.
