I am having problems with my installation I think or it could be a problem with Drupal, I don't know.
Anyway, when I hit new on the "recent post" page or a post in the "recent comments" block and there is more than one page of posts in the topic I am brought to the first page and post, the node, and not the correct comment. Is this a problem with my settings?

The topic is a forum thread if that matters and I am using php5 and mysql 4.1 on apache. I've seen this problem on a 4.6 drupal installation as well.

You can check it out here if you want: http://siegetheday.org/drupal/ Just hit "Hmm.. when I hit new I" in the "recent comments" block.
It is a development site so feel free to post if you want to test things.

Thanks for any help in advance.

I could really use some help with this as it is a serious problem and quite annoying since comments are no longer marked as new when I go to the proper page. English is only my third language but I have tried to explain what is happening.
If I try to go directly to a comment that is located on a page after the first I still end up on the first.

Is this a bug with the core system or is it a misconfiguration on my part, even more important can I do something about it?

It's a bug with the Drupal pager when there is more then one page of comments. You may want to search the Drupal project issue queue to see the status.
