Hello,
I'm the developer of the open source project Open-School (http://open-school.org). Recently I decided to release my new version in drupal. Someone please help me with the student, parent (connects with one or more student), teacher (connects with a group of students/class) and the admin. Did I need to develop user profiles for each group?
How can i communicate/link between the users (eg. a student's parent) ?
Is there any similar modules like this?
Is that possible to provide with custom profile fields?
Please help me.
PS. If someone intrested in this project, please contact me.
Best Regards,
Matthew George

if your dealing with "groups" investigate the organic groups.module (group pages) for example see groups.drupal.org
links between users and parents, investiagte the user relationships.mdoule and use the permissions system (or extend it if you need finer grained control)
no there is no single module in drupal to handle this for you. The drupal community doesn't typically create a single module to provide an entire feature set for a specific use case. That is where insallation profiles come into play. With drupal you download each feature and it's dependencies in the forum of multiple modules. Think legos. You don't reach into a new box of legos and pull out a car. You pick out the pieces you want to build that car.
not sure what you're asking about custom profile fields.

To those of you asking for the software to be sent to your email address: it is evident that you haven't visited the site in the link posted in the opening post. Had you visit the aforementioned site you would have found the community edition available for download @ https://open-school.org/pricing
