I come to appreciate the drupal platform day after day.
Especially when the observe the synergy of contributes working from different countries and creating modules that thrive to co-exist nicely with each other.
Eventually we get a whole monster which fits as if a homogeneous setup.
Still many things corners has to be smoothed on the way, i.e. many beautiful modules need to be brought in harmony with others.
Let us imagine the fusion that would happen if the following modules are harmonized: (the list goes on)

- MenuIcons { with } Special Menu Items .... A no-link remove an menu icon
- TableHighlighter { with } Themed Excel Exporters .... Unable to capitalize on meaningful color coding of table rows, thus excel extract are dummy.
- SQL Aggregation { with } Views Calc .... SQL aggregation is usable after having a patch.
- Action Email { with } with Token .... Unable to send a tokenized email message to certain a group by role.
- Workflow States { with } Rules .... Some patch exists to return the proper states, why not make it part of the work-flow module.

I think that the drupal platform is going to make a major leap, fusion is coming.
The collective efforts of all contributer developers should pay them back, in that multi-mutual shared benefits.
Really, the open source paradigm is now making a great momentum.
