Collapsible block module that stores cookie

I am trying to find a module that allows me to create a block that a site visitor can choose to close, which will set a cookie so that the user does not see it again. This would be used to display an urgent announcement at the top of the site, for instance. Thanks!

You needed it everytime the user logs in or just once in a user's life time?

Users will never log in, as those who will see it will be anonymous users. I was hoping their was a module that would allow you to set the cookie length, for instance.

An example of the functionality I am looking for is currently at the top of www.digg.com. Look for "Digg for Haiti Relief". You can close that piece of content and it stores a cookie so that you don't see it again.
