I tried to search drupal / google but couldn't find a solution..

Is there a simple way to automatically convert youtube links into embedded player object?
I know the video filter module allow using [video:url] but I prefer to do it without the [video:xx] tag

I went into the downloads section. Went to the modules. Filtered for Drupal 6.x. Did a search for "youtube". I came up with Googtube that appears to do what you want. Total time: <5 minutes.
