Need a way to integrate Powerpoint slides into a drupal site. Are there any modules or add ins that anyone is aware of that might be able to do this, or, if no, are there alternative methods that would be effective, without requiring a lot of work on the front end to covert the slides?

The easiest way is to convert your PowerPoint presentation to Flash using one of the many conversion tools available.

Can you be more specific? What conversion tools?
I've tried a few of them and haven't found anything that works satisfactorily yet.

I don't have a specific recommendation and can't vouch for the conversion quality, but if you Google "powerpoint to flash conversion" you'll find a variety of options including some free ones.

Publish your docs on Google docs and then use their tool to create the slideshow/link into docs where you can integrate/view/further edit/create permissions and then use within any node + view full screen as well as download as a PPT, PDF, email it etc...

There are also browser page presentation tools that will allow much easier embedding i.e. empressr

I'm looking to do the same thing. I just found the iPaper module (http://drupal.org/project/ipaper) but I haven't tried it out yet. Have you found any other workable solutions?
