Create a logo that is 512x512 square dimension in PNG format without animations. Suggested file size should be 10k or less. Use a lossy image tool (such as pngquant) to reduce file size while keeping the image quality at around 80%.
MAINTAINERS: The logo should be added to the root folder of the repo, and be named logo.png. This must be present on your project’s default branch. This is the logo that will be displayed on the cards in the Project Browser grid and list views.
If you previously added a logo as the first image in the Images field on your project page, please remove it. Project Browser will no longer be using the first image as the logo.

akshayadhav@anoopsingh92 seems like you have used some tool to change the colours in the image provided by @tarkesh.deva
Though it's a good attempt, the image does not look crisp and clear.
@tarkesh.deva please check Google Analytics page for the colour scheme used in their logo. To be precise, check this logo.
anoopsingh92Yes @AkshayAdhav,
I have changed the color, removed the + icons from an outsider, and added a grow icon. I tried but this is an example of the logo. not a complete perfect logo. This logo image is not looking crisp and clear.
https://www.gstatic.com/analytics-suite/header/suite/v2/ic_analytics.svg
This is an SVG image. So we need to build this icon or logo in SVG. then it will look good.
Thanks

tarkesh.deva@AkshayAdhav To give a better context on why I have used Dark Blue (#0678BE) for the logo. Since the logo is part of a module in Drupal following the Style guide of Drupal helps in maintaining uniformity of the new Logo’s that are being created as part of the Project Browser’s initiative.
I have followed the Drupal Style Guide’s Primary colour scheme for the logo.
I have also made a variant of the logo with “Google Analytic’s” colour scheme which I also think can be used as a logo which gives the audience a sense of Recognition and Relation to the logo.

anoopsingh92Hi @tarkesh.deva, It's looking awesome instead of the previous logo. Can you please remove the white background? I t think a transparent logo would be good instead of JPG.
Thanks
Comment #12
tarkesh.devaHi @anoopsingh92 thanks for the feedback, I have now updated the logo options without a white background in PNG format.
Thank you

lostcarpark commentedCould I suggest making the background inside the design white, but retaining transparency in the surrounding pixels?
amourowIt would be better to use the official logo to help the user know the module.
Based on the Google Analytics branding policy, it should be fine to use it to represent the module.
https://developers.google.com/analytics/terms/branding-policy
I choose the one without Google's name in it so the logo is more legible in the list.

lostcarpark commentedWhile using official logos makes sense from a recognition viewpoint, does that cause problems from a trademark viewpoint?
mpauloSame as #17, came here to ask a 2nd opinion about the usage of their official logo on this project.
For starters, doesn't the usage imply that
All Google Analytics logos used within an application must link back to Google Analytics, or link to a page with the URL in which users can get back to Google Analytics, and that the usage mayimply an association with or endorsement of any other product [...]orsuggest that you are representing the views or opinions of Google Analytics?Comment #19
amourow@mpaulo, thanks for bringing up the issue. That's a valid point.
In the Google Analytics module page, it has the link to the Google Analytics product page already.
And regarding the additional rule regrading the implication, I don't believe we are claiming any association with the product, the module only allows the user to integrate the tool to Drupal system, in my opinion.
tintoI agree with #14 that the official Google Analytics logo works best here. This module solely adds Google Analytics integration for Drupal and not much else, so it fits the bill perfectly.
Plus, it's instantly recognisable for users scanning the list of modules looking for this exact functionality.
lostcarpark commentedIf we're happy with using the Google logo, I would suggest the 3 bars without the word "Analytics". The name will be in the card title anyway, Text in images can be difficult to read, especially at small sizes, and it is not accessible to screen readers. And leaving out the text allows the logo to be larger and more meaningful.
amourow@lotcarpark I'm trying to follow the brand guideline as much as possible.
The logo includes the graphic and the text "Analytics" it is already an compact version without "Google" in it.
See https://developers.google.com/analytics/terms/branding-policy
This is also not listed in the logo list of Google product, despite it says it is not exhaustive. I'd like to have at least one example that google use the graphic along to justify it.
Although it is emphasized that there is a minimum size at 154x50px for it, the Project Browser will display it in the list at 100x100.
The graph and the text is still legible in my opinion.
100x100

tintoFrom https://about.google/brand-resource-center/brand-elements/#product-icons:
This is literally what we're doing here, no? We're indicating that this module integrates a Google product into your Drupal website.
Interestingly, Google Analytics is never mentioned in any Google brands listings.
On Google Analytics Developer Branding Guidelines & Policies page, they state:
This enforces @amourow's proposal, as an icon-only option is not included here.
I feel that Google's own rules seem a bit contradicting, but I doubt that either choice would cause major problems here. We are in now way causing confusion or diluting their brand in any way IMHO.
Question: Will Project Browser always apply a minimum 100x100px size for the logos? Any responsive resizing on smaller screen resolutions?
tintoOn a side note, wouldn't this discussion apply to all modules that integrate Google products/services? (e.g. #3299047: GoogleTagManager - logo update)
Perhaps it would be great if we could forward whatever choice is made here on other Google related modules, no?
amourowAfter I see more example on the Google marketing platform, I guess it is fine to use only the graph icon to indicate the service.
Web: https://marketingplatform.google.com/home
A menu example:
The graph icon is available in svg at
www.gstatic.com/analytics-suite/header/suite/v2/logo_analytics_icon_colo...
This is definitely important to have a consent and document for whom will be struggled in the matter.
Shall we make a document?
amourowCreate a graph icon only logo file.

tintoNice work! #26 looks good to me.

bramdriesenI agree that it would be better to keep the original logo as that's what people associate Google Analytics with. Same applies for GTM and all the other Google Products.
