I am using oembed module and I do not want to use media module. Media oembed module will limit me in few things. I will also be using iframely api module which will allow my users to embed from 1600 providers. And its free.
What I want to do?
I am using ckeditor module and I want to allow users to upload a link which will then be converted to oembed content. Then I will show a list of items containing these links shared by users via views. Any solution for me?
Note: The custom form where I want to do all this is provided by the statuses module, which is not an entity. I found 2 solutions.
1. I can attach a field programmatically. (Do not know how to do it)
2. I can use ckeditor. I have already tried it. The problem is that I would need a field available in the toolbar to do this. I found wysiwyg fields module. I thought it will solve my problem, but it is not working on custom form.
Any help is appreciated.
In short, I want to attach a link field to my custom form. It can be a user field or a file field.
