I have installed dhtml, and it seems to work ok for my admin navigation bar.. but not for my public menu. am I supposed to say which menus somewhere? I don't see anywhere to specify which menus?

but.. I can't seem to get the duplicated menu items working for certain links (or for any link).

what is the syntax supposed to be? is there some documentation somewhere where they explain how to set this up:?

thanks.

Lynne

All menus, after they are created, become blocks. You need merely to go to blocks, then select which menu blocks you want activated with dhtml, and those you do not.

thanks so much! makes sense... now that I see it. ;)

If I were to add a little documentation for other newcomers (and I realize this would be subject to the DHTML module owners corrections/approval).. where would I do that?

Perhaps contact the author of the outstanding module, seek her/his advice.

I did write the developer to tell him the demo doesn't work. Haven't heard back.

but. I thought maybe there was a module Wiki on this site where users could add documentation, but I can't find it if there is.

so.. guess I won't add to the documentation. Thought it might be a way of contributing, even as a Drupal newbie, but.. I don't think this website has that kind of a setup.

You most certainly may add to the documentation (user contributions are, inter alia, what this site is all about). Just make sure you find the right section of the documentation section of the site. A moderator here will always place it in the right location if you mislocate it.

Perhaps try this spot first:

http://drupal.org/handbook/config/contribmodules

I did find this before.. ended up here:
http://drupal.org/project/dhtml_menu

but I see no place for documentation. Only writeup of issues. so, can you tell me where I would be able to add just some documentation about how this part of the DHTML module works?

I wouldn't mind adding to modules that I've used and learned about, and I am pretty good at writing up explanations.. but, I can't figure out where to do this for contributed modules. And.. I do think this should be a part of the contributed modules writeup.. somewhere where users can add comments about the "finer points" of the modules they've used.

It would be nice if they added to each contributed module.. a section for user comments/documentation, and a section for links to sites where this module is used.

I'd go here:

http://drupal.org/node/add/book/parent/22361

Add a book page called Menu-related modules.

Then add a child page to that called DHTML menu. On *that* page, write up your explanation.
