Bojhan commentedThis does sound like a bad idea.
zhuber commentedAre other companies offering offical drupal certifications?
I feel like this would actually be a good idea. It would allow people who are looking for jobs on jobs.drupal.org to show their certification. It gives a quick reference to anyone interested, that you are certified.
I don't think we have to open the floodgates for every badge that every company creates, just a certification badge for passing the official certification program.
dddave commentedThere is no "official" certification program. We are talking about a commercial product sold by one company.

Anybody wondering why I'm uploading an image to a closed issue, it's so I can put it in my bio, as "Only images hosted on this site may be used in
<img>tags. Others are replaced with an error icon."Comment #21
