I created some new content via cck called "news". I then created a view to put the news on the front page. My views generates a block (which is used on the front page) and a page.

Here's the problem. I have no problem themeing the page (just make a file called page-news.tpl.php) however I can't figure out how to theme a specific story when someone clicks on it on the front page. It seems my page-news.tpl.php does not extend to the invidiual stories/nodes. Any suggestions? Thanks!

it would help if you tagged or at least mentioned the version of Drupal in use ?

to theme nodes of a certain content type, I believe you want node-news.tpl.php

Ah geeze. Here I thought my only options were "page-custom.tpl.php" didn't know I could use a "node-custom.tpl.php". Thanks VeryMisunderstood.
