Hello

I would like to decrease the amount of "white space" between blocks in my Corolla Theme ... as seen here:

I believe you need to put the correct code in the page.css file but can anyone help me with what that code is?

You can use Firebug to inspect the block regions' CSS and then play with it "on the fly" to see what looks good, then modify the source CSS file identified by Firebug to make the changes permanent. It should tell you the exact line and css file the changes are being pulled from, unless you have CSS aggregation on as part of the Performance settings on your site.

consider a subtheme of corolla with a custom.css file in which your css overrides will live. Hacking a contrib theme creates a pain point when the theme is updated by the maintainer and you've hacked it's files.

Yup, what VM said also, definitely. You don't want to modify the base css files, just make a file named custom.css for your over-rides and then tell the Corolla theme to look for it by adding the line

stylesheets[all][] = custom.css

to Corolla's .info file

better but not ideal. when the theme is updated the info file will be overwritten. A subtheme using corolla as a base theme is the best way forward.
