Bert Boerland from The Netherlands, is a long term Drupal user.
Bert has been active as a user, handbook writer, tester and evangelist since the Drupal's early days on drop.org (2000) and has a long standing track record in the Drupal community. He donated the Drupal.org domain to the community, organised the DrupalCon Amsterdam 2005 and co-organised as lead the DrupalCon Barcelona 2007.
Bert has been a Permanent Member of the Drupal Association since 2007 and a Board Member in 2008. He resigned being a Permanent Member in November 2010. Bert is a co founder of the Dutch Drupal Stichting and has been a member of the board for 10 years.
He co-founded the DrupalJam and co-organised a dozen of these Dutch events with over 500 attendees. He also co-founded the Splash Awards and organised many editions. Bert was also a co-organiser of the 2012 edition of Frontend United, a European conference for frontend developers in Drupal. Bert helped organising 6 year long other DrupalCons as a global track chair for the Business Tracks.
To be the wallet of the DrupalJam, Bert founded the Stichting Drupal Nederland and has been a board member for over a decade. His is currently the Chair of the board.
