I am a web producer in Austin, Texas, who has been building websites with Drupal since 2006. My business focuses on assisting businesses and organizations with how their websites are organized, what they do, and what they say. My clients rely on my 15+ years of experience in web design — combined with strong editorial sensibilities and broad technical capabilities — to help them make the most of their online endeavors.
Using Drupal allows me to leverage my experience with the open-source web server platform (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP) to create feature-rich websites that are easy to deploy and maintain. Beyond the basics, Drupal's many core and contributed modules allow my clients to extend their websites to meet any goal that they envision for their businesses. Blogging, e-commerce, user-contributed content, email lists and notifications, event calendars, surveys, applications, and video tutorials are among the features that I have added to websites I manage using Drupal.
My background includes newspaper reporting and magazine writing and editing in the business and science fields. I earned bachelor's and master's degrees in journalism from Northwestern University. I have written two books about web design: Web Site Cookbook (O'Reilly, 2006) and Small Websites, Great Results (Paraglyph, 2004).
