Drupal 4.7.4 and 4.6.10 released

Drupal 4.6.10 and Drupal 4.7.4 are available for download. These are maintenance releases that fix problems reported using the bug tracking system, as well as three security vulnerabilities.

Upgrading your existing Drupal sites is strongly recommended.

Edit: these releases do not support PHP 5.2 yet, but the next minor releases will.

New module: Scheduled Actions

The Scheduled Actions module provides support for scheduling and managing Actions to be invoked in the future. Currently supports Drupal 4.7.

Drupal used by Sugar Publishing

I read an article on Venture Beat regarding Sugar publishing Inc's 4 blog sites. Interestingly, something about it looked familar and alas discovered that it was powered by Drupal! They claim 13 million hits per month, talk about Drupal scalability.

IBM releases 9th article - and provides support for DB2 Express-C

IBM's authors have been writing a fantastic series of articles about Drupal. They just released the 9th installment where they investigate Drupal's database abstraction layer in some depth. As an added bonus, they give us a little gift: new support for an important database - IBM DB2 Express-C. Thanks, IBM!

I'm happy to announce the birth of a new website dedicated to the promotion of Drupal in French:

What is this website about?

DrupalFrance.org is:

  • A detailed presentation of Drupal in French (features, benefits, pros and cons, discussion to help the users decide whether Drupal is the right CMS for them...).
  • A place to centralise all Drupal resources in French. If you know a website (in French) that uses Drupal, or a website that has tutorials or articles (in French) about Drupal, please let us know.
  • A place to announce Drupal news & events and pass on important messages from the Drupal.org website to the French-speaking community.

What about the other French websites about Drupal?

There are already a couple of websites in French about Drupal. The goal of DrupalFrance.org is not at all to compete with them. It's a starting point for French-speaking users interested in Drupal and willing to learn more, and we'll be happy to point to any existing quality resource about Drupal in the "Ressources Drupal" section of the website.
