Usability: Display all "weights" in administer > menus

This a small thing but would be very helpful:

When browsing menu itms (administer > menus) it would be great to see the menu weight without having to actually click "edit". When adjusting my menus it can be a pain moving something up or down only to realize you have a group of menus all within a couple numbers of weights.

IMages for Reply, edit and delete ?

OK i've searched drupal and couldn't find an answer but i'm sure i've read one somewhere.

Basically, using flatforum, i've skinned my forums to make them look a lot more like a forum as although i love the look of drupal forums, my members seem to expect forums to look a certain way.

Everything looks great and its kinda like vbulletin meets Drupal and i'm very happy with it.

I've adjusted the comment viewing to flat list expanded and sorted by date, oldest first. Everything works

However now when a member clicks post new comment it will put that comment at the bottom of the comment list, which is correct and proper forum culture. However generally forums use QUOTE for replying to posted comments and having the QUOTE module installed solves this.

But i still have that REPLY comment link that may cause some confusion to my members,

What i would like to see is the removal of REPLY in comments and just have the QUOTE link remain. I would, however, like the REPLY link outside of the comments at the end of the comments (god i hope i'm making myself clear here).

Also to make things easier on members i would like to replace QUOTE and REPLY with images instead but i have no idea where to look for these to adjust to that option.

So to recap (incase i've confused you, i know i have me :).

QUOTE to only feature in already posted comments as a picture, and REPLY to feature at the end of the comments, also as a picture, although outside the box.

The hole between core and user contributed

Currently there are 319 Modules in tree 4.7.0 (735 cvs) and 50 Themes (103 cvs).

On the matter of string length

Out of curiousity, why does drupal not shorten non-whitespaced stings over a certain length and add white-space to them so as they don't potentially go off the side of the users monitor, thus forcing them to scroll?

If there is one, it's not on by default and I can't find it in the admin section.

Why the limited user options?

Ok, this has probably been asked a billion times before but why isn't it possible for the user to customise how they see the site in their preferences?

As an admin you have access to:
Hot topic threshold
Topics per page
Default order

However the user does not have access to any of those. The most important one is the Default Order. The admin should NOT dictate how I view forums. This is the 21st century you know ;)

why doesn't drupal.org list number of views for a page?

I wish drupal.org would list the number of times a page has been viewed. amember.com does this. When you post a question, you can see how many times it's been viewed. Why doesn't Drupal.org do this?
