Is it safe to expose the database name? When the site gets disconnected, Drupal displays the database name

Unable to connect to database server

This either means that the username and password information in your settings.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the MySQL database server. This could mean your hosting provider's database server is down.

The MySQL error was: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2).

Currently, the username is *****_***** and the database server is localhost.

Provide UI/usability feedback using Flickr

Here is a little experiment I'd like to conduct: can we use Flickr to make it easier for people to provide feedback on Drupal's UI/usability? Here is how you can participate and how it would work:

  1. Create a Flickr account. It's free.
  2. Take a screenshot of a Drupal (administration) page and tag it with the keyword drupalui (which stands for 'Drupal user interface'). It's important to use the drupalui tag as that is the tag we'll use to pick up your feedback.
  3. Annotate the screenshot by adding notes: use the notes to explain what you would do differently, what confuses you, what can be explained better, what is missing, etc.

An overview of all the annotated screenshots tagged with drupalui can be found here:

As you can see, I submitted one example screenshot and annotated it with two notes:

So start annotating Drupal screenshots on Flickr, and we'll try our best to include your feedback in Drupal 5.0.0.

a Ques about content

Hello,
I am extremly new to drupal, have a problem creating content
when i just use create story or node or whatever...the page looks like it is a msg, where at the top it says posted by.... on ...date n so on
i want to just create a normal page, like a welcome page or about or services...i dont want it to include posted by or such things
how can i do this

internet explorer 5.5 and higher, please visit http://www.sitelancers.net and take a screen shot and give it to me? Im on linux and cannot view in internet explorer.

thanks in advance... im concerned about my logo area and main content not working as intended.

Incredible but I tryed - IExplorer 7rc for Drupal.ORG Not Working

Hi,
Just the last two days I installed two workstation for a customer and a he wanted to try
his new Drupal Testing Site.

Just for consulting some Drupal's Knowledge page he used his fresh installed IExplorer 7 vers Rc 1
and we where not able to see just as the frontpage of DRUPAL.ORG !!!

Whats happen ?? Is Microsoft boicotting some Fantastic Open Source Software like Drupal is ???

Lets do something against.
