double login issue

I apologize for presenting this issue because I KNOW much has been written about it. The problem is there is no clear solution.
Or, rather, it's not clear to me. I have gone through numerous threads and, frankly, as another person put it, "my head is spinning."

Moving drupal from one server to another

Hi all,

Sorry for the lengthy post, but I'd been playing with this for ages, and asked on the IRC channel, and I'm struggling to make progress.

I'm in the process of changing webhost (to webhostingbuzz), and trying to bring my drupal site along with me.

So, I downloaded all of the files from my old server, and uploaded them to the new server. I then exported my old databases (there are two, because I have two drupal sites), and imported them onto the new server. Finally, I changed the settings.php files (for both sites) to reflect new usernames/passwords/database names.

If I try to access the new site, I correctly get the message that the site is in maintenance mode (because that's what I did with the old site before downloading/exporting it). However, and this is problem number one, it's defaulting to the wrong site. Rather than giving me the maintenance message for my main site (/sites/default), it gives me the maintenance message for my second site (/sites/adventure). I'm not sure if this is some minor bad piece of set-up from me (though both settings.php files seem to be set correctly), or the root of my troubles.

Customizing the View module HTML rendering for Video nodes

Hello all,

I'm using the Video module to stream videos for my client on his drupal driven website..

I want to use the View module to pick up all the videos and display a "thumbnailed video gallery"...

The actual problem now that I'm facing is that within the available visualizations modes for the view module: Full Nodes, Teaser List, Table View, List View I dont get one that really fits in what I want rendered..

I have created a Block view.. and would like to create a table of thumbnails (say a 4 x 4 table) where every cell will contain a thumbnail, a description of the video and a link to start playing the video in a new page.. (this new page has its own template for a node of type 'video', ie: node-video.tpl.php )

Any suggestions in how to do this? Do I have to hack my way through the View module so as to customize the rendering model...

For what regards the Video module itself, I set the thumbnail image in the 'Image thumbnail' field the module provides, also putting a small description in the 'body' field.. I also set up TinyMCE throughout the site..

Please let me know how to go on about this if any previuos experience...If any suggestions? Should I use a different methodology maybe??

Installing Drupal in a subdirectory

So, I have installed Drupal in a subdirectory of my web root. However, when I access my domain, I have to use www.mydomain.com/dirname rather than www.mydomain.com

I am using virtual hosting so I don't have access to httpd.conf but I do have access to .htaccess and the rest of the web root.

Terms and Access control for general users

How can I restrict users from creating content using a particular vocabulary or a term within a vocabulary ie they should not be able to see those hidden terms when creating content
Scenario - I have a monthly competition and at the end of the month I want to tag a particular node with the "Good Article" term. Due to the nature of this term, normal users cannot be given access to create/Tag node with it but they should be able to view the node which has been tagged with this term.
