And that's running locally! With three custom blocks added, the site is noticably more sluggish to load than with the blocks disabled. I suppose it's all the convaluted taxonomy lookups, arg calls, and node loads ... but this is necessary to have any control of display, since the blocks don't seem to have any global variables available to them, like nid, etc.
Anyway, is there any way to cache these blocks, when I know they will contain info that will be infrequently updated? When I log out & have the cache on, the speed noticably increases.
Just a quick post to let you know that I will be sending you over a Welsh (cy) translation in the coming weeks.
I am not too sure about the process of putting the files on the CVS so will load them through the issues section.
I have some questions though...
Do you have to load the modules onto issues all at once?
Can I get the main parts translated and then add other parts later in order that I can get the site live with the main translations as soon as possible?
Hi there, I'm just getting used to drupal and it seems to cover all (and even more) needs for an upcoming project. There's just one point I'm not sure about existing implementations and/or possibilities for extending drupal up to this requirement:
Why is there still no slideshow module?
